JANUARY FEBRUARY MARCH APRIL MAY JUNE JULY AUGUST
SEPTEMBER OCTOBER NOVEMBER DECEMBER

March is the time most of us will start our outdoor plantings. If you'e planned ahead, you'll have most of your planting beds ready, and will have a variety of seeds. Hopefully, you've also taken the time to start some of your plants and vegetables indoors, and are ready to harden them off.

Don't forget to stop by a few of your local nurseris to what's new, and on sale. This can be an excellent time to pick up a few new fruit trees, and get them planted. Just be sure before go crazy planting, that the danger of frost is past, or that you've planned in advance to protect your plants and vegetables from any particularly cold nights.

It is very simple to create a hoophouse ontop of raised beds using a few screws, and some lengths of 1" PVC. They are easy to remove as well, and if care is taken not to leave these materials out exposed to the elements, even the plastic can be used for another season or two.
