Keeping fish isn't really that difficult. If you've ever had an aquarium, and your fish did more than just survive (you want them to be happy fish afterall) you can probably handle a few Koi in a small pond.

As long as you see to their basic needs, they'll be just fine. There are quite a few poeple who would like you to think that it's complicated to raise a few koi, but it really isn't.

A simple filtration system, some moving water that will keep oxygen levels up, maybe some appropriate plants, and feed them. How difficult can that be? I suppose it depends on how many koi you intend on having, and the size of your pond. (yes. here size does really matter).

Watching your Koi as they grow, and getting to know their different characteristics (they do have different personalities by the way) can be a source of joy for many of us who not only appreciate being outdoors, but caring for animals, and spending time in our yards as well.
