More February Tips

Continue feeding your lawn every 4 - 6 weeks

Prune trees and roses near the end of the month, making sure to use pruning sealer on any cuts over 3/4 inch, and seal all cuts on roses.

Continue dormant spraying, being careful of lime sulfer as it will stain...make sure to wash anything that gets unwanted overspray on it.

Get your bulbs planted if you haven't already done so.

You can start planting trees and shrubs if the ground isn't frozen, or too saturated with water, and remember to provide good drainage for them.

Watch for bare root roses, trees, and shrubs at your local nurseries, and get them early...it can save you some money, and its easier on the plants.
